Liver Problems

Approximately 70% of hepatitis c patients will go on to develop chronic liver disease.
20% of patients with hepatitis c will develop liver cirrhosis (scarring) over a period of 20-30 years.
Of those with cirrhosis 30% will develop liver failure.
Patients with liver cirrhosis have an increase chance of developing liver cancer.
Hepatitis C disease is also associated with the development of lymph node cancer, chronic kidney problems, and diabetes mellitus.
